The Secure Digital memory card is a
memory specifically developed to meet
security requirements which have recently
appeared in the field of electronic audio
and video devices. It includes a Copyright
protection mechanism which complies with
the SDMI standard (Secure Digital Music
Initiative). The file protection and
encryption system (CPRM: Content
Protection for Recordable Media) is
integrated into the SD card. The SD card's
interface supports standard MMC card
operations.
