The Security Status Info sect ion is located in t he upper part of t he AVG main
window. Within t his sect ion you will always find  information on t he current security
st atus of your AVG 8.5 Anti-Virus. Please see an overview of icons possibly depict ed
in t his sect ion, and t heir meaning:

 The green icon indicat es t hat your AVG is fully funct ional. Your comput er

is completely protect ed, up t o dat e and all installed components are working
properly.

 The orange icon warns t hat  one or more component s are incorrect ly

configured and you should pay att ention t o t heir propert ies/sett ings. There is no
crit ical problem in AVG and you have probably decided t o swit ch some
component  off for some reason. You are st ill protect ed by AVG. However, please
pay att ention t o t he problem component 's set t ings! It s name will be provided in
t he Security Status Info sect ion.

This icon also appears if for some reason you have decided t o 

 (t he "Ignore component state" option is available

from t he cont ext  menu opened by a right-click over t he respect ive component's
icon in t he component overview of t he AVG main window). You may need t o use
t his opt ion in a specific situation but  it  is strict ly recommended t o switch off t he
"Ignore component state" option as soon as possible.

 The red icon indicat es t hat AVG is in critical status! One or more

component s does not  work properly and AVG cannot  protect  your comput er.
Please pay immediate att ent ion t o fixing t he report ed problem. If you are not
able t o fix t he error yourself, contact  t he 

 t eam. 

It  is strongly recommended t hat you pay att ention t o Security Status Info and in
case t he report  indicat es any problem, go ahead and t ry t o solve it immediately.
Ot herwise your comput er is at risk!
