The LinkScanner  component  consist s of t wo part s t hat  you can swit ch on/off in t he
 LinkScanner component int erface:

 Enable 

 - (on by default): advisory not ifying icons on

searches performed in Google, Yahoo or MSN having checked ahead t he
content  of sit es ret urned by t he search engine. The browsers support ed are
Internet Explorer and Firefox.

 Enable 

 - (on by default): act ive (real-time)

protect ion against exploit ive sites as t hey are accessed. Known malicious site
connect ions and t heir exploit ive cont ent  is blocked as t hey are accessed by
t he user via a web browser (or any other application that uses HTTP).

 Back reporting of exploiting web sites - mark t his it em t o allow back

reporting of exploit s and bad sites found by users eit her via Safe Surf  or Safe
Search  t o feed t he database collect ing informat ion on malicious act ivit y on t he
web.
