TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
SOLUTION
Cannot record or does 
not record correctly.
Check the disc/HDD has suffi cent available space.
Check the source is not copy protected.
Use a VR mode formatted disc for copy-once material.
Timer record function is 
not successful.
Check the clock & date are set correctly.
Timer recordings may have overlapped. Only the earliest 
setting will record completely.
Stereo Audio Record 
and/or Playback is not 
present.
Check your TV has stereo capability.
Check the Program was broadcast in a stereo format.
Check the A/V output ports are connected to the TV A/V 
ports.
Check the cables are connected correctly.
Check cables for signs of damage.
PROBLEM
SOLUTION
HDMI device does not 
display a picture.
Try disconnecting then re-connecting the HDMI cable.
Switch the mains power off and back on.
Check the Video input for the connected device is set 
correctly.
Check the HDMI cable is fi tted correctly.
Check the HDMI cable for damage.
Not all HDCP devices are compatible with this unit.
Connected HDMI device 
does not output sound.
Not all HDCP devices are compatible with this unit
If your TV is not capable of processing a 96 kHz sampling 
frequency, set the [Sampling Freq.] option to 48 kHz. 
Your TV is not equipped with Dolby Digital and MPEG 
decoder, set [Dolby Digtal] and [MPEG] to [PCM] in the 
setup menu.
Your TV is not equipped with DTS decoder, set [DTS] 
option to [OFF] in the setup menu.
