The synt ax of t he command follows:

 avgscanx /parameter ... e.g. avgscanx /comp for scanning t he whole

comput er

 avgscanx /parameter /parameter .. wit h mult iple paramet ers t hese should

be lined in a row and separat ed by a space and a  slash charact er

 if a paramet ers requires specific value t o be provided (e.g. t he /scan

parameter t hat  requires informat ion on what  are t he select ed areas of your
comput er t hat are t o be scanned, and you have t o provide an exact  path t o
t he select ed sect ion), t he values are divided by commas, for instance: 
avgscanx /scan=C:\,D:\

To display a complet e overview of available paramet ers, t ype t he respect ive command
t oget her with t he paramet er /? or /HELP (e.g. avgscanx /?). The only obligatory
parameter is /SCAN t o specify what areas of t he computer should be scanned. For a

To run t he scan press Enter. During scanning you can st op t he process by Ctrl+C or
Ctrl+Pause.

When you run your comput er in Windows Safe Mode, t here is also a possibility t o
launch t he command line scan from t he graphic user interface. The scan itself will be
launched from t he command line, t he Command Line Composer dialog only allows
you t o specify most scanning paramet ers in t he comfort able graphic int erface.

Since t his dialog is only accessible within t he Windows Safe Mode, for det ailed
description of t his dialog please consult t he help file opened direct ly from t he dialog.
