Select this when connecting your 

camcorder to a TV with the component 

input jack.

Tips

When you have activated [24p Mode], the 

setting values change to those for the NTSC-

based model (NEX-VG30E/VG30EH).

HDMI Resolution

Select the output image resolution when 

connecting your camcorder to a TV with an 

HDMI cable (sold separately).

 Auto

Normal setting (outputs the signal according 

to the TV automatically).

1080p/480p (NEX-VG30/VG30H) 
1080p/576p (NEX-VG30E/VG30EH)

Outputs high definition image quality (HD) 

movies in 1080p signal and standard image 

quality (STD) movies in 480p (NEX-VG30/

VG30H)/576p (NEX-VG30E/VG30EH) 

signal.

1080i/576i (NEX-VG30E/VG30EH)

Outputs high definition image quality (HD) 

in 1080i signal, or standard definition image

Outputs high definition image quality (HD) 

in 720p signal, or standard definition image

Outputs 480p (NEX-VG30/VG30H)/576p

Outputs 480i (NEX-VG30/VG30H)/576i 

(NEX-VG30E/VG30EH) signal.

Notes

When [

Frame Rate] is set to [60p] (NEX-

VG30/VG30H)/[50p] (NEX-VG30E/VG30EH) 

and [HDMI Resolution] is set to [720p/480p] 

or [480p] (NEX-VG30/VG30H)/[720p/576p] or 

[576p] (NEX-VG30E/VG30EH), HDMI signals 

cannot be output during recording.

Tips

When you have activated [24p Mode], the

USB Connect

Select this item when [USB Select] does not 

appear on the LCD screen by connecting 

the camcorder to a computer with the USB 

cable.

USB Connect Setting

You can set the USB transfer mode for 

connecting the camcorder to a computer or 

other USB device.

 Auto

The camcorder automatically selects the USB 

transfer mode depending on the connected 

device.

Mass Storage

This is a USB transfer mode compatible to 

many types of USB devices.

MTP

This is a USB transfer mode compatible with 

certain types of computers.








