Setting the target system
Once XSoft has started, create a new file:

Choose File r New.
X
Answer the question prompt about saving the old project.

Set the target system, e.g. XC-CPU601-E4M.
The following window with four tabs will appear:

Activate the General tab, select the Byte addressing mode
option and confirm the setting by clicking OK.

Select the POU type (Program) and the programming language

Confirm your selection with OK.
