Baratza Encore Conical Burr Coffee Grinder Quick Setup Guide

Step 1.  

Lift the grinder out of the box by grabbing the hopper and pulling straight up. 

Then remove the bag. Rotate the hopper all the way counter clockwise and 

remove the hopper to allow removal of cardboard “collar”. Replace the hopper 

and twist clockwise.

Step 2.  

Open the grounds bin to find the knob. Press the knob in place while wiggling 

until the knob is fully seated.

Step 3. 

Rotate the hopper to adjust the grinder to your desired setting.  Below are 

some general starting points:

Espresso

Drip & Pourover

Full Immersion

2-6

Brewer 13-14  
V60 13-14
Chemex 20-21

AeroPress 8-11
Siphon 14
French Press 30-32

 

Note that these are just starting points; you will need to dial in the grind to your prefer-

ence from here.  For additional  information on grind settings and brewing methods go

Step 4. 

Add the beans and grind your coffee. Any grind adjustment to the grind set-

ting should be made while grinding coffee.
