The ThinkPad Button launches Access ThinkPad to simplify access 
to online

 and on-system resources, including Access Connections 

and the Access Support portal, featuring self-diagnosis and automated 
service solutions.

 The 

IBM Embedded Security Subsystem 2.0 (select models) 

helps protect data locally and secure communications (requires 
Client Security Software download and third-party digital certificate, 
not included).
