When uploading RLM software (or firmware) no changes are made to the 
configuration of the RLM. However, it is recommended to create a back-up 
file using the 

'RZQORDG&RQILJ)LOH

 from the RLM menu in case no 

backup-file exist of the current configuration setting. 

1.

Select the target Radio Link Module from the list or enter an IP address 
for a specific Radio Link Module. 

2. From the Radio Link Module menu, select 

8SORDG6RIWZDUH

The RLM Manager program will prompt you to open an Access Point 
RLM software file (*.bin).

3. Move to the directory where you have installed the RLM Manager 

program file, or the directory where you saved the Access Point RLM 
software file you downloaded from the Siemens SIMATIC NET IWL   
web site. 

4. From the list of displayed files, select the file “wpntxxx.bin”

, where “xxx” 

identifies the version of the Access Point RLM software.

5. Click the

 button to open the Radio Link Module software file.

6. Enter the password for the RLM if you are prompted to and click
