7. Programming Remotes For Use With Hydra
First, you must program your remotes for use with your Hydra. The Hydra comes with 3 URC remotes.
Each remote can be programmed for use with a different TV/Room. (Refer to the Hydra User’s Guide for
more information on in-home configurations.)

Press and hold the “OK“ button on the Hydra front panel for about 5 seconds. When the “OK”
button is released, the Hydra front panel Standby/On LED blinks twice (alternates red and green),
then stays lit red to indicate that the Hydra is now in remote registration mode.

Identify the remote control, which is labeled with a number 1, 2, or 3 on the battery cover plate on
the bottom of the remote, as shown below:

Press and hold the “STB” button on the remote control for about 4 to 5 seconds. The “STB” button

Use the number keys to send the registration event:

Press “1” to send the “Register remote control to Decoder 1” event for Remote #1.

Press “2” to send the “Register remote control to Decoder 2” event for Remote #2.

Press “3” to send the “Register remote control to Decoder 3” event for Remote #3.
•
Press “0” to set remote control to IR mode only. The remote control will not send any RF
signal.
