Using the BRIM User’s Guide
BRIM-E100
The Fast Ethernet BRIM has a user-conÞgurable Fast
Ethernet Port Interface Module (FEPIM) port that
provides either 100BASE-TX connectivity (via an RJ-45
interface) or 100BASE-FX connectivity (via an MMF
interface with an SC connector).

BRIM-F6
The FDDI Bridge/Router Interface Module is a
translational FDDI to Ethernet bridge, via media
conÞgurable Fiber Port Interface Module (FPIM)
connectors using MMF or SMF Þber, or UTP or STP
copper. The BRIM-F6 supports the IETF FDDI MIB and
dual homing. Its DAS attachment is ANSI-compliant.
