announces the end-of-sale date for Cisco Unified Communications Manager
Version 5.0. The last day to order the affected product(s) is June 30, 2008. Customers
with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical
Assistance Center (TAC) as shown in Table 1 of the EoL bulletin. Table 1 describes the
end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product(s). Table 2 lists the
product part numbers affected by this announcement. For customers with active and paid
service and support contracts, support will be available until the termination date of the
contract, even if this date exceeds the Last Date of Support shown in Table 1.
Cisco Unified Communications Manager (previously known as Cisco Unified CallManager) is the
call-control component of the Cisco Unified Communications System. Cisco Unified
Communications Manager extends enterprise communications features and capabilities to packet
telephony network devices such as IP phones, video, media-processing devices, voice-over-IP
gateways, and rich-media applications.

Cisco Unified Communications Manager 5.0(1) was released on March 17, 2006, and was further
enhanced and replaced by several maintenance versions. On December 20, 2006, Cisco Unified
Communications Manager 5.1(1) became available. This release replaces Version 5.0 and
represents a better alternative containing additional features and incorporating fixes to newly found
