Lower Oven Light Bulb
NOTE: The glass cover (on some
models) should be removed only when
cold. Wearing latex gloves may offer
a better grip.
CAUTION
Before replacing your
oven light bulb, disconnect the electrical
power to the oven at the main fuse or
circuit breaker panel.
Be sure to let the light cover and bulb
cool completely.
For your safety, do not touch a hot bulb
with bare hands or a damp cloth.
To remove:
Turn the glass cover
counterclockwise 1/4 turn until the
tabs of the glass cover clear the
grooves of the socket.
Using gloves or a dry cloth, remove
the bulb by pulling it straight out.
To replace:
Use a new 130-volt halogen bulb,
not to exceed 50 watts.
Using gloves or a dry cloth, remove
the bulb from its packaging. Do not
touch the bulb with bare fingers.
Push the bulb straight into the
receptacle all the way.
Place the tabs of the glass cover into
the grooves of the socket. Turn the
glass cover clockwise 1/4 turn.
For improved lighting inside
the oven, clean the glass cover
frequently using a wet cloth. This
should be done when the oven is
completely cool.
Reconnect electrical power to
the oven.

Oven Shelves
(lower oven)
Clean the oven shelves with an abrasive
cleanser or steel wool. After cleaning,
rinse the shelves with clean water and dry
with a clean cloth.
NOTE: The shiny, silver-colored oven shelves
(on some models) may be cleaned in the self-
cleaning oven. However, the shelves will darken
in color, lose their luster and become hard to slide
if cleaned during the self-cleaning cycle.
To make the shelves slide more easily,
apply a small amount of vegetable oil
or cooking oil to a paper towel and wipe
the edges of the oven shelves with the
paper towel.
