announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco ONS 15454/15327 Gigabit
Ethernet SFPs, Versions SX and LX. The last day to order the Cisco ONS 15454/15327 Gigabit
Ethernet SFPs, Versions SX and LX is September 7, 2007. Customers with active service
contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) as
shown in Table 1 of the EOL bulletin. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and
dates for the Cisco ONS 15454/15327 Gigabit Ethernet SFPs, Versions SX and LX. Table 2 lists
the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Cisco announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco ONS 15454/15327 Gigabit
Ethernet SFPs, Versions SX and LX. The last day to order the affected product is January 7, 2007.
Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical
Assistance Center (TAC) until January 7, 2012.

The plan is to transition the current SFP product IDs to new ONS product IDs that will be shared
across all the ONS product line. Customers are encouraged to migrate to the new products, which
are electrically and operationally equivalent to the end-of-life SFPs. Table 3 provides relevant
information for migrating to the replacement product.
