Protective Tape 2AU23B has two applications on the lawn tractor. One large piece is placed across the hood of the

tractor and another piece is placed across the front grill area. The protective tape on the hood is applied manually at the
assembly plant. The hoods move on conveyors standing vertically on the front section of the hood. The 3M protective 
tape is perforated every 32 inches and is placed on a custom fixture. The hoods pass in front of the masking fixture, where 
a worker moves the hood into position in the fixture. The protective tape is applied, after which the hood is lifted from the
fixture and placed on an overhead conveyor to move to another area of the plant. 
The 3M protective tape is applied to the grille section at the component supplier. The 3M protective tape is specified by 
the manufacturer and is a required application at the grille suppliers.
