Print a menu map page to make sure the printer is operating correctly.
For instructions of buttons on the operator panel, see 

Make sure “READY” appears on the display.

Press ON LINE/CONTINUE button.

“OFFLINE” appears on the display and the printer is off-line.

Press MENU button

 or MENU button

 until “TEST MENU” is displayed.

Press ITEM button

 or ITEM button

 until “SELFTEST” is displayed.

Press ENTER/CANCEL button to print.

“PRINTING PCL6” appears and remains on the display until the page prints.

The printer returns to the Ready state after printing.
