The LANCOM L-151gn Wireless is ideal for the installation of professional WLAN infrastructures where bandwidth is not as important as signal coverage and reliability.

With up to 150 Mbps, corporate meeting rooms or cafés and restaurants, for instance, can be provided with simple WLAN guest accesses. Apart from that, the LANCOM

L-151gn Wireless is equipped with many customary LANCOM access point features: e.g. the redundant power supply either via the supplied 12 V power adapter or via

PoE based on IEEE 802.3af or the support of Multi-SSID for setting up multiple parallel independent WLAN networks. Further, the device is equipped with two antenna

ports which enable the user to either connect the supplied rod antennas or special sector antennas for installing the access point in suspended ceilings.

Most WLAN end devices use the 2.4 GHz band – which is why the LANCOM L-151gn Wireless has been designed for this frequency band in particular. By using the 2x2

MIMO technology, the access point provides a better signal coverage and often enables the use of WLAN in environments where older 54 Mbps devices were not able to

deploy enough signal strength. Therefore, the LANCOM L-151gn Wireless is the foundation for a stable, reliable wireless network – and is hence perfectly fit for business-critical

applications, such as the connection of cash systems.

The LANCOM L-151gn Wireless is a stand-alone access point: It can hence be operated without a WLAN controller and be configured via free-of-charge management

software. Practical configuration wizards facilitate the administrator’s daily business. If a central management is desired, the access point can be managed by a controller

without software update. In this case, of course, the proven LANCOM Smart Controller concept applies as well: If the controller fails, the access point can keep operating

autonomously and the WLAN coverage is maintained. And there is more: Just like all LANCOM devices, the access point can be integrated into the comprehensive monitoring

solution LANCOM LSM. This enables the display of active status information on floor plans or an automatic data logging and alert messages in case of problems.
