Overview
Scalers work to convert and scale a type of video/audio
signal to another type of video/audio signal. This enables you
to use differently formatted video/audio signals on differently
formatted display screens. Scaling allows for changing
resolutions to increase quality or improve compatibility.

Available Scalers
• The HDMI to VGA Scaler (AVSC-HDMI-VGA) converts
digital HDMI to analog PC video (VGA) with either digital
audio (S/PDIF) or analog stereo audio. With this module,
VGA based receivers such as LCD monitors or plasma TVs
can connect to HDMI sources such as DVD players or PS3.

• The Component/Composite to HDMI Scaler (AVSC-VIDEO-
HDMI) converts a component or CVBS signal to HDMI
compliant format. It also supports S/PDIF audio through
RCA into HDMI output. With this extra feature, users can
combine asynchronous video and audio sources into an
HDMI compliant A/V signal.
