Recommended Usage
•  USB devices (such as keyboards or mice) connected to this card will be available to use after
Windows boots normally. However, USB devices connected to this device cannot be used
for BIOS settings, MS-DOS mode, or Safe mode in Windows. For best results, connect USB
keyboards and mice to a USB port on the PC's motherboard and reserve the ports on this card
for high-speed devices.
•  This card supports ACPI power management, but does not support remote wake up.
•  Energy saving modes such as stand by, hibernation, and sleep may not be available for some
computers with this card installed.
• If you use bus-powered USB devices, such as the Buffalo MiniStation, connect the auxilary
power cable (included in your package) before connecting any USB devices to this product.
• Do not connect any other auxilary power cable besides the one provided with this product.
Unplug all USB devices before connecting it.
• This device may be connected or removed while your computer is on. Dismount it normally
from within your OS before removing.
• To use more than 2 USB devices, connect a USB hub. Up to 4 USB hubs may be connected.
• Dismount and remove any attached USB devices before unplugging this device from your
computer.
• If a connected USB device is not detected by your computer, unplug and then reconnect it.
Common Problems
This section lists some common problems with solutions for each.
The computer does not boot
Conflicts with another expansion card
A new expansion card may cause I/O port address
duplication. Check all settings for all cards. Remove
cards one at a time if necessary to confirm which cards
are causing the problem.
The computer is broken
If the computer still does not boot up after removing
the IFC-EC2U3/UC, the computer itself may be
broken. Please contact the vendor you purchased your
computer from.
Device not detected
Turn off your computer and reinstall the card. If there is
an  empty  Express  card  slot  available,  try  to  install  the
card in a different Express card slot.
