Cisco Unified Communications Manager is the call-processing component of the Cisco
Unified Communications System. Cisco Unified Communications Manager extends
enterprise telephony features and capabilities to IP phones, media-processing devices,
voice-over-IP (VoIP) gateways, mobile devices, video, and rich-media applications.
Customers on platform Version 6.0 or earlier may upgrade to Version 6.1 or later, which
introduces a set of new features and increases performance. The features deliver the
high-end call processing that enables benefits such as reduced cost of ownership,
improved productivity and collaboration, and process transformation that organizations
