Posterize Levels This slider and the input boxes with arrow-heads allow you to set the number of levels (2-256) in each RGB

channel that the tool will use to describe the active layer. The total number of colors is the combination of these levels. A
level to 3 will give 2

= 8 colors.

Preview The Preview checkbox makes all changes dynamically so that they can be viewed straight away.

The Path tool allows to create complex selections called Bezier Curves, a bit like Lasso but with all the adaptability of vectorial
curves. You can edit your curve, you can paint with your curve, or even save, import, and export the curve. You can also use
paths to create geometrical figures. Paths have their own dialog box:

You can get to Path tool in several ways :

• In the image menu through Tools → Paths,

• By clicking the tool icon:

in Toolbox,

• or by using the B keyboard shortcut.

Ctrl/Alt Three modes are available to work with the Path tool: Design,Edit and Move. Ctrl key toggles between Design and

Edit. Alt (or Ctrl+Alt) key toggles between Design and Move.
