Using the Menus: Shooting Mode

n ISO
Control the camera’s sensitivity to light.  Higher values can be used to reduce blur when lighting is
poor; note, however, that mottling may appear in pictures taken at high sensitivities.  If

4 (800), or 4 (400) is selected, the camera will adjust sensitivity automatically in response

to shooting conditions.  The maximum value that will be selected by the camera at settings of

4 (800), or 4 (400) is 1600, 800, or 400 respectively.

The options available for 

n ISO vary with shooting mode.  In M and F modes, the options

available for 

n ISO are further limited by the option selected for o QUALITY (pg. 65).

Settings other than 

4 are shown by an icon in the monitor.

ANote
Sensitivity is not reset when the camera is turned off or another shooting mode is selected.
