Using the Menus: Playback Mode

 R PHOTO NAVIGATION

To show the direction and distance from your present position to the location where a picture 
was taken:

  Select an option other than OFF for 

R

 LOCATION SEARCH in the setup menu (

 82)  and 

confi rm that the camera is receiving GPS data (

 29).

  Display a picture with a 

J

 icon.

 Select 

R PHOTO NAVIGATION in the playback menu. The approxi-

mate direction and distance to the location where the picture was 
taken are displayed as shown, using the units selected for 

R km/

mile in the setup menu (

P 83). Distances over 1000 units are indicated 

by “>”, those under 100 units by “<”.
