c DIGITAL ZOOM

If ON is selected, pressing T at the maximum opti-
cal zoom position will trigger digital zoom, further 
magnifying the image.  To cancel digital zoom, 
zoom out to the minimum digital zoom position 
and press W.

Digital zoom produces lower quality images than opti-
cal zoom.

d LCD MODE

Control the quality of the display in the monitor.  
Choose STANDARD for improved display quality, 
POWER SAVE for increased battery life.  This op-
tion has no eff ect in playback mode, high-speed 
shooting mode, or movie mode.

f VOLUME

Choose the volume for the shutter, camera con-
trols, and playback.
•  SHUTTER VOLUME/OPERATION VOL.: Choose the vol-

ume for the shutter and camera controls from 
three levels, or select OFF to turn the sound off .  
Press the selector left or right to highlight an op-
tion and press MENU/OK to select.

•  PLAYBACK VOLUME: Press the 

selector right to display the 
menu shown at right.  Press 
the selector up or down 
to choose the volume for 
movie and voice memo playback and press 
MENU/OK to select.
