Use this mode to take close-up shots.
Available Shooting modes: B, ,  ,  ,  ,

Press e (p) to select Macro mode.
The Macro mode setting changes each time you press the 
e (p).
CAUTION
• When Super Macro is set, focal length is fixed to 60 mm 
(35 mm camera equivalent). Zoom function is not 
available.
• When Super macro is set, flash cannot be used.
• When 
, or 
 is selected, Super macro cannot 
be used.
MEMO
• Use a tripod to prevent camera shake in Macro mode.
• Any of the following cancels Macro mode:
- Changing the Mode dial to ? or r
- Turning the camera off
• If the flash is too bright, use flash brightness adjustment 
(
➝P.87).
• Even if [
MULTI] (
➝p.85) in the [
AF MODE] is set, 
the camera focuses near the center of the screen.
• AF-assist may not function correctly if the camera is up 
close to the subject, such as in macro-mode.
