the light source (for an explanation of “white 
balance,” see the Glossary on page 104).

If AUTO does not produce the desired results 
(for example, when taking close-ups), choose the 
option that matches the light source.

Results vary with shooting conditions.  Play pictures 
back after shooting to check colors in the monitor.

While the shutter button is pressed, the camera 
takes up to three pictures.

•  Focus and exposure are determined by the fi rst 

frame in each series.

•  The number of pictures that can be recorded 

depends on the memory available.  Additional time 
may be required to record pictures when shooting 
ends.  The pictures are displayed 
in the monitor while recording is 
in progress.
