The Final Steps

 

Once you have repaired a unit, perform the following tasks:

• Attach a blank serial number label to the bottom case. 

Using indelible ink, write in the serial number from the 

old bottom case.

• Attach an REA label to the PowerBook. 

• Power up and verify functionality of the PowerBook.

• Confirm that the system software is version 7.5.2 with 

enabler 1.2.1 or higher. If it isn’t, install the new 

system software.
