Choosing an Exposure Mode

 Manual Exposure (M)
Exposure can be altered from the value suggested by the cam-
era by setting both shutter speed and aperture to values other 
than A (shutter speed is set by rotating the shutter speed dial; for 
information on adjusting aperture, see the lens manual).  M will 
appear in the display.

 

R Shutter speed can also be adjusted in increments of 1

3 EV by pressing 

the selector left or right.

 

R The manual exposure display includes an exposure indicator that 

shows the amount the picture would be under- or over-exposed at 
current settings.
