For close-ups, press the selector left (

F) and select 

F. When macro mode is in effect, the camera fo-
cuses on subjects near the center of the frame.  Use 
the zoom buttons to compose pictures (

P 17).

To exit macro mode, press the selector left (

F) and select 

H.

 

R Use of a tripod is recommended to prevent blur caused by camera shake.

 

R The shadow cast by the lens may appear in photographs taken with the flash at 

very short ranges.  Zoom out or increase the distance to the subject.
