The PC Card slot accepts a PC Card.

The PC Card eject button ejects the PC Card from the PC Card
slot.

 The headphone jack, a

inch (3.5mm) diameter jack, is where

you connect stereo headphones or external speakers.

 The line-in jack, a 

⅛

inch (3.5mm) diameter jack, is where you

connect an external audio device.

 The microphone jack, a 

⅛

inch (3.5mm) diameter jack, is

where you connect a self-powered stereo microphone.

Note:  Do not plug any device into the microphone jack except a

microphone.

 The external diskette drive connector allows you to connect

the external diskette drive to the ThinkPad 240.

 The security keyhole is used with a mechanical lock.

 The internal modem port is used for connecting your com-

puter to an analog telephone line. (Availability depends on model
