By having assigned the microphone signal to the Aux channel, you still have four internal
Decks at your disposal (Track Decks or Remix Decks).
10.3 Using a Master Mixer

In some situations, you might want to use other audio devices independently from the TRAK-
TOR KONTROL S4 system, like an additional setup with turntables and mixer. A solution con-
sists in using this other mixer as master mixer. This mixer will receive the mix coming from
TRAKTOR KONTROL S4 and thus act as middleman on the way to your amplification system.
Starting from the basic setup, you only need to change the connections at the Main Outputs of
your S4.
Before  you  proceed,  please  follow  the  steps  for  the  basic  setup  described  in  section
.
Connect the Main Outputs of the S4 to Available Inputs on Your Master Mixer
On the rear panel of your S4, unplug the cables connecting the Main Outputs of your S4
to your amplification system, and connect the Main Outputs 1/2 1/4" (balanced) or RCA
(unbalanced) sockets to an available stereo input channel on your master mixer, depend-
ing on the type of inputs supported by your master mixer.
On the master mixer, make sure that the input channel receiving the TRAKTOR KONTROL S4
signal is set to line level.
Connect the Outputs of Your Master Mixer to Your Amplification System
Don’t forget to connect the outputs of your master mixer to your amplification system and
make the necessary level adjustments on your master mixer.
10.4 TRAKTOR KONTROL S4 with Turntables or CD Decks

With this setup, you can plug turntables or CD decks (or any other line level source) to the two
stereo inputs available on your TRAKTOR KONTROL S4 and use them in your mix on two dif-
ferent channels.
