COLLECTING DRY PRODUCT GRAM THROWS
Measuring the gram throw allows you to get the right amount of dry product or
condiment into your hot drink.  To do this, you need a container to catch the prod-
uct throw and an accurate gram scale to measure its weight.
1.
Make a measuring container by cutting down a paper cup until it fits under
the canister spout as shown.
2.
Weigh the measuring cup and zero the gram scale accordingly.
3.
Make 5 test throws as instructed in the programming steps.
4.
Weigh each test throw, then add all 5 weights together and divide by 5 to get
an average weight.
5.
If necessary, adjust the throw time and repeat steps 3 and 4 until you get the
correct product or condiment weight.
Tables D1 and D2 show the factory default settings for the various dry products
sold by the merchandiser. They are good starting points to use in setting up your
machine.  In the end, the amount of dry product or condiments you use in your
drinks depends upon taste and manufacturers’ recommendations.  Recommended
weights and times are for guidance only, and you do not have to adhere to them.
