The battery is not charged at shipment.  Charge the battery before use.

  Place the battery in the charger.

Insert the battery into the supplied BC-45 
battery charger as shown, making sure that 
the battery is in the correct orientation.

  Plug the charger in.

Connect the power cable and plug the char-
ger into a power outlet.  The red charging 
indicator will light.

The charging indicator shows battery charge 
status as follows:

Off 

Battery not 

inserted.

Insert the bat-

tery.

Battery fully 

charged.

Remove the 

battery.

Glows red

Battery 

charging.

—

Blinks red

Battery fault.

Unplug the 

charger and 

remove the 

battery.

  Charge the battery.

Charging is complete when the charging in-
dicator turns off .  A fully exhausted battery 
takes about 180 minutes to charge.
