Parameters

Specifies a list of one through 64 media to 
be reclassified.

-c 

Specifies the MediaClass group with which 
the specified media are currently 
associated.

• Valid MediaClass names may contain up 

to 16 alphanumeric characters, including 
spaces. 

• Leading and trailing spaces are not 

permitted.

-n 

Specifies the new MediaClass group with 
which the specified media are to be 
associated.

• Valid MediaClass names may contain up 

to 16 alphanumeric characters, including 
spaces. 

• Leading and trailing spaces are not 

permitted.

-v

Indicates that verbose output is needed. 
Status is returned on every media 
specified in the 

vscheckout

 command. 

NOTE: If

 -v

 is not specified, status is 

returned on only those media that were not 
successfully checked out.

-I

Command options are first read from the 
command line. VolServ then reads any 
options contained in the 

stdin

 file.
