SSL validates the identity of a Web site and creates 

an encrypted connection for sending data. 
TLS is a security protocol based on SSL. It uses 

digital certificates to authenticate the user as well as 

authenticate the network. 

SSH 

Secure Shell 

A security protocol for logging into a remote server. 

SSH provides an encrypted session for transferring 

files and executing server programs, and serves as a 

secure client/server connection for applications.
