Program Recording Options
Overview
Introduction
Subscribers can use the VCR Commander™ module with the set-top to control VCR
programming. The VCR Commander service works with models of the Explorer set-
top that have an infrared (IR) port on the back panel. For subscribers who do not
have a digital video recorder (DVR) set-top, authorizing the VCR commander
service and connecting a VCR commander to the set-top allows them to record
current or future programs from the General Settings menu or IPG.
These alternatives eliminate the need to manually program the VCR to record.
