Manually:

Select the TIM menu by
•

pressing TIM for approximately 1 second while the radio is switched on.

•

Press 

 

ACTIVE

 to switch the TIM standby mode on or off.

If 

ACTIVE

 is not highlighted, then the TIM standby mode is switched off.

In this case, a motor antenna will retract when the radio is switched off.

If your vehicle is equipped with a motor antenna, it will remain fully
extended if the TIM timer is active when the radio is switched off.

The antenna may also come out inside the car wash even if the set
is turned off but the TIM timer active. This can cause serious dam-
age!

Please read the next section for more information on how to inter-
rupt the TIM standby mode temporarily before driving into a car
wash.

•

Switch off the radio before driving into the car wash.

If the display switches off immediately, the TIM standby mode is inactive and the
motor antenna will retract.

You can now drive into the car wash.

However, if 

TIM ACTIVE

 lights up briefly in the display panel when the set is

turned off, the TIM standby mode is active.
•

Press TIM.
