Product Configuration Software

This section details the Product Configuration Software (PCS), available on the Extron 
website. The Windows-based PCS communicates with the switcher via the following ports:

• 

Configuration port — A standard USB mini-B port (see 

 on page 7).

• 

Remote RS-232 port — A serial port on a 3.5 mm, 3-pole captive screw connector 
(see 

 on page 8).

• 

9600 Baud 

• 

8 data bits

• 

No parity 

• 

1 stop bit

The program is compatible with Windows 2000, Windows XP, and later.

Installing the Software

The PCS, version 2.3 or newer, and Firmware Loader are available on the Extron website. 
Download and install both programs as follows:

NOTE:  Steps 1 through 6, below, are also used to download a firmware update package.
