Connecting UTP Cables
The fixed RJ45 front panel ports (ports 1 through 24) are 10/100 Mbps ports and have auto
polarity detect. The two front panel 1000 Mbps stacking ports, ports 25 and 26, which can
be configured as standard Gigabit Ethernet ports, also have auto polarity detect. Refer to

When connecting a workstation to these ports, use a straight‐through cable. When
connecting networking devices to these ports, such as a bridge, repeater, or router, it is not
necessary to use a crossover cable.
