I want to format my Media Buddy hard drive under Linux, but I cannot find
the mkfs.msdos command.

Either install the Dos-Utils package or format the partition with Windows
or Mac OS 9.
I have formatted the Media Buddy under Windows, but I cannot mount the
volume in Linux with the mount/dev/sdd1 command.

A different volume format called Superfloppy (not including a partition) is
made by Windows. To mount a Superfloppy volume in Linux, a partition
number must not be specified in the device name: mount/dev/sdd.
