Installation and Launch
AVG 8.5 Anti-Virus for Linux/FreeBSD installation packages are provided as rpm
or deb files, and as tar.gz or sh archives.

Please note that upgrading the old AVG for Linux/FreeBSD version 7 to the new
version 8 is not possible. You will have to uninstall AVG 7 manually (via
/opt/grisoft/avg7/bin/uninstall.sh) prior to installing AVG 8.
