Select the on-screen menu language for this recorder for 
on-screen display.

 

Set the date and time.  Use ST keys to change the number and 
use WX keys to select different entry fi eld, then press OK to 
confi rm.

{ Manual } 

– Select this to manually set the date and 

time.

{ Auto } 

– Turn on or off the automatic setting of 

date and time.  If enabled, the date and 
time will be set according to the fi rst 
preset channel that broadcasts this 
information.

Notes:

–

  Automatic time date download occurs only when the recorder is  

   switched on or in standby mode. 

–

 During the update in standby mode, the recorder behaves as follows:

1) The message on the front panel display switches from the current   
    time to ‘HELLO’. 
2) Once updating completes, the recorder switches back to standby 
    and the current time is displayed.

 

The screen saver prevents damage to the TV screen by avoiding 
exposure to a static image for too long.

{ On } 

– Switch to TV screen saver mode when 

playback has been stopped or paused for 
more than 5 minutes.

{ Off } 

– Turn off the screen saver function.

 

Restore all the settings of this recorder, except for any timer 
programming preset.

1) Press OK to confi rm the default restore.
2)  A warning message will appear.  Select { OK } in the menu to 

proceed or { Cancel } to abort, then press OK to confi rm.
