WarningS and error meSSageS
If a fault should occur, a corresponding message appears on the screen.
Over-temperature protection                     Current overload protection                    Power overload protection
note:
In an overload situation the PSU does not switch itself off automatically. To reset an error message, switch the
mains switch off and reduce the load on the unit. Although the PSU is fitted with safety functions, you should still
take care to avoid short-circuits and reversed polarity connections at the outputs. Connecting a battery directly
to the mains PSU's output (i.e. without a charger) will ruin the PSU as well as the battery.
        SaFety noteS:
-   Do not open the case!
-   Check for damage or defects to the case and leads.
-   Never wire the outputs in parallel!
-   Keep the cooling slots unobstructed.
-   The unit must only be operated on the correct operating voltage.
-   Use the device only in a dry indoor location.
-   Do not subject the unit to direct sunshine.
-   Do not leave the unit operating unsupervised.
-   Repairs must be carried out by the manufacturer only.
-  Disconnect the mains plug after use.

Operating instructions
Switch-mode mains pSu 1200 W - 50 a
no. 8136
introduction
The input voltage range is 100…240 V, and the mains lead plugs into the unit, making it extremely versatile.
The output voltage can be adjusted within the range 14 ... 29 Volt DC, and the maximum current is 50 A. The
unit's total continuous power is 1200 Watt (see table below).
connectionS
The PSU features four outputs, three of them switchable. The unit is also fitted with two USB outputs which
have a total capacity of 5V / 2A. The output voltage of all four outputs is adjusted in common by rotating the
voltage knob.
note: the three switchable outputs can only supply max. 10 A. If the load on an output is too high, the overload
protection circuit switches this output off.
operating the pSu
Connect the mains lead to the PSU, then insert the mains plug into a wall socket. Operate the mains switch
to turn the unit on. Rotate the voltage knob to set the output voltage required by the charger you wish to use.
Most battery chargers work in a voltage range between 10.5 V and 15 V. Only a very few chargers - such as
the Power Peak Twin 12 - 24 V - can be run at a voltage above 15 V. It is therefore important to check your
charger's input voltage range before connecting it; the figure is stated in the operating instructions supplied with
the charger. note: The current is displayed on the screen in addition to the output voltage. Please note that the
current displayed represents the sum of all outputs.
