The shock absorbers at the front and rear vehicle axles can be mounted in different positions at the lower transverse
link (A) or the damper bridge (B).
The spring-pre-tension can be adjusted at the upper end of the shock absorber (C) by inserting one or several plastic
clips.
Always set the shock absorbers for one axle evenly (at the left and right wheels of the front or rear axle). Otherwise,
driving behaviour will be influenced negatively.
If the setting is too stiff, the vehicle will jump even on a small unevenness, and the wheels will lose touch with the
ground. This will cause a lower acceleration. When the setting is too soft, the vehicle will rebound too strongly, and the
chassis will touch the ground.
Optional accessories (not included in the delivery; can be ordered separately) that can be used include
springs with a different stiffness or damper oil of a different viscosity for filling the shock absorbers.
Furthermore, there are tuning shock absorbers that permit setting by the knurled screw.
Just as with a real car, the shock absorbers (or the rubber seals in them) are a model car wear part. If oil is running from
the shock absorbers (e.g. lower transverse link strongly oiled, dripping traces), the seals or shock absorbers must be
replaced.
