  This Quick User Guide helps you install and get started with IRIScan Express™ 3. 

 The software delivered with this product is Readiris™ Pro 12.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN: make sure you have the necessary administration rights to install the

software.

 •

Insert the IRIScan™ Express 3 CD-ROM in the CD-ROM 

drive of your computer. The installation screen appears.

  •

Click Readiris™ Pro 12 to start the installation.

 •

Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions.

 •

Click Finish to complete the installation.

 •

Enter the serial number when prompted.

You find the serial number on the label inside the product box.

1.2 Installing the IRIScan™ Express 3

When Readiris™ Pro 12 has been installed,

return to the installation screen.

 •

Click IRIScan™ Express 3 Installer to start the 

installation.

 •

Select the Installation Language, and then click

Install the software.

 •

Now click Install at the bottom of the window

and follow the on-screen instructions.

This installs the Button Manager software

and the scanner driver.

1.3 Calibrating the scanner
At the end of the installation, you are asked to calibrate the scanner.

Connect the scanner to your computer with the provided USB cable.

 •

Click OK to start the Calibration Wizard.

 •

Insert the calibration sheet provided with your scanner and

click Calibrate now.

You are recommended to restart your computer after installing the

scanner software.
