Failure to do so can result in back or other injury.5Remove tape and any labels (except the rating label) from your refrigerator-freezer before using.5To remove any remaining tape or glue, rub the area briskly with your thumb.5Tape or glue residue can also be easily removed by rubbing a small amount of liquid dish soap over the adhesive with your fingers. Wipe with warm water and dry.5Do not use sharp instruments, rubbing alcohol, flammable fluids, or abrasive cleaners to remove tape or glue. These products can damage the surface of your refrigerator-freezer.5When moving the appliance, do not tilt it beyond 45 from the upright position.5Cleaning Before Use:5After you remove all of the packaging materials, especially the foam between the outside condenser and cabinet, clean the inside of your refrigerator-freezer before using it. See Cleaning and Maintenance.5Space Requirements:5WARNING: Keep flammable materials and vapors, such as gasoline, away from this appliance. Failure to do so can result in fire, burns, explosion or death.5To ensure proper ventilation for your refrigerator-freezer, allow for 8” (about 200mm) of space on each side, 8” between the back of your refrigerator-freezer and the wall, and 12” (about 300mm) above the appliance.5If you are installing your refrigerator-freezer next to a fixed wall, leave sufficient space on the hinge side to allow for the door to swing open.5Never install your refrigerator-freezer near a heat source (e.g., oven, radiator) or in direct sunlight.5Electrical Requirements:5WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE GROUND PRONG. DO NOT USE AN ADAPTOR. DO NOT USE EXTENSION CORD. Failure to follow these instructions can result in electrical shock, fire or death.5Before you move your refrigerator-freezer into its final location, it is important to make sure you have the proper electrical connection. A standard 115Volt AC only / 60Hz electrical supply is required, properly grounded and with a 15 amp fuse. It is...5NOTE: Before performing any type of installation, disconnect the refrigerator-freezer from the electrical source. When you are finished, reconnect the refrigerator-freezer to the electrical source and reset the control to the desired setting.5Leveling:6If the appliance is not leveled during installation, the doors may not close or seal properly, causing cooling, frost, or moisture problems. It is very important for the refrigerator-freezer to be level in order to function properly.6To level your refrigerator-freezer you may either turn the adjustable foot clockwise to raise that side of the appliance or turn it counter-clockwise to lower that side.6NOTE: Having someone push against the top of the refrigerator-freezer will take some weight off the adjustable foot and make it easier to turn.6Operation6To obtain the best possible results from your appliance, it is important that you operate it properly.6Temperature Control Panel:6Display – When the refrigerator-freezer is first turned on, the display screen is fully lit for 3 seconds, and then only LED 3 is lit, indicating normal operation.6Fault indication7Fresh Food Storage:7Frozen Food Storage:7/When using the refrigerator-freezer for the first time or after defrosting, turn the temperature control to the “MAX” setting for at least two hours before introducing the food to be stored.7All frozen food products you purchase should be placed in the freezer compartment as soon as possible to keep the frozen food from defrosting.7Storage recommendations printed on the packaging of the frozen food by the manufacturer should always be followed.7Freezing Fresh Food8Ensure that your freezing operations are carried out under the most hygienic conditions as freezing alone does not sterilize the food.
