The scanner panel enables you to set menus and view the status of the 
scanner. This section provides information about:

Status messages and error messages

Main menus you can access from the scanner panel

For a detailed explanation of the activity lights and buttons on the scanner

When the scanner is scanning normally, status information about current 
jobs appears in the display window. The messages are:

•

Ready

—Displays while the scanner is ready to print but not processing or 

scanning a job.

•

Scanning

—Displays while a job is scanning.

•

Sleep

—Appears when the printer is in an Power Saver mode.

The scanner Menu mode includes a Main menu and a Selection menu that 
can be changed from the scanner panel.

In the duplicate ready status (when “

Ready

” is displayed in the upper line of 

the LCD), pressing the MODE button will allow you to enter the Menu mode. 
Press the MODE button to display the next menu.
