Installing the Infrared Device Driver for OS/2
The infrared device driver for OS/2 is included in the application
TranXit for OS/2.

There are two types of infrared device drivers for OS/2:
Infrared device driver to support simple file transfer with the
application TranXit for OS/2.
Infrared device driver to support networking over an infrared link
with the IBM Multi-Protocol Transport Service (MPTS) software.
The two drivers cannot work together, so you must install only the
one you use.

you install the application. You need not install it separately. The
latter is included in the Infrared Features Diskette II, and is installed
as a Network Device Interface Specification Version 2 (NDIS2)
compliant network adapter driver, when you install and configure the
MPTS networking software that comes with OS/2 Warp Connect,
OS/2 Warp Server, or TCP/IP for OS/2. Refer to the respective
networking software publication for installation procedures. The
README file on the Infrared Features Diskette II also contains
additional information.
