r Recording Movies

Use this mode to record movies.

Set the camera to r Movie mode 

Set the Mode dial to r.

Z Zooming the image
You must zoom beforehand as you cannot zoom during 
recording.

• Optical zoom focal length

Approx. 28 mm to 112 mm (35 mm camera equivalent)
Max. zoom scale: 4×

• Focal range

Approx. 40 cm (1.3 ft.) to infinity

The available recording 
time appears on the LCD 
monitor.

Set the zoom switch to [ or ] to zoom 
in or out of an image.
